Part of the overall investment volume of about € 145 million is spread in the form of contracts awarded to local and regional companies.

Some 60 new jobs are being created at EVN Abfallverwertung NÖ directly, and another 60 in the region in general. EVN Abfallverwertung NÖ recruits most of its staff from the region.

Financially, the community profits from the site charge levied on EVN Abfallverwertung NÖ.

The new plant also has a positive impact on revenues achieved by local hotel and restaurant businesses. It is not only the people actually working at the incinerator who give a boost to the economy: plenty of visitors who will inspect the state-of-the-art EVN Abfallverwertung NÖ plant will contribute their share to fuelling the economy.
