| At Zwentendorf in Lower Austria, EVN Abfallverwertung
NÖ has planned and built Europe’s most advanced thermal
waste utilisation plant, which, since going on stream on 1 January
2004, has been working at its full capacity. Starting in 2007, the
facility was enlarged from its original capacity of 300,000 to some
500,000 metric tons per year, which, the enlargement now completed,
has made it Austria’s largest thermal waste processing plant
and one of the largest of its kind in Europe. |
