Plant officially opened

EVN Abfallverwertung NÖ waste incineration plant at Zwentendorf/Dürnrohr officially opened

After ten years of planning, an environmental impact analysis and construction, the thermal waste utilisation plant sited by EVN Abfallverwertung NÖ at Zwentendorf/Dürnrohr was opened in an official act at the St. Pölten festival hall on 12 January 2004.

Lower Austrian Governor Erwin Pröll and EVN General Director Rudolf Gruber opened the plant, which is the largest and most modern of its kind in Austria and offers a garbage processing capacity of 300,000 tons per year.
